Malahide Golf Club

Malahide Golf Club is located halfway between the picturesque seaside villages of Malahide and Portmarnock in North County Dublin just a very short trip from Dublin Airport.

Originally a 9 hole links in Malahide village, the Club moved to the Beechwood Estate in 1987 and over the following 3 years, developed the land into a very fine 27 hole golf course with a beautiful Club House offering full bar and restaurant, pro-shop and practice area facilities.

The course was originally designed by Eddie Hackett but has since seen two major re-designs, the first in 2010 under the watchful eye of Jeff Howes and more recently in 2017 when a number of holes were re-developed under the stewardship of the world renowned Martin Hawtree.

The club has a proud history dating back to 1892 making it one of the oldest clubs in Ireland. Distinguished members over the years include Tom Craddock, Irish international and Walker Cup player, Paddy Caul, Irish International player and Philip Walton our most famous son, a 3 time winner on the European PGA Tour and winner of the clinching point in the 1995 Ryder Cup at Oak Hill.

Located so close to some of the best golf links in the world, Malahide Golf Club is often left undiscovered by visitors to Ireland but those who have found us often refer to Malahide as a ‘hidden gem’ and return year after year.

So why not put Malahide Golf Club into your itinerary when visiting Ireland next time where, as our motto says, you will be met with ‘A light Heart and Cheerful Spirit’.
